Dear Father,

Thank you for another day to see your creation and to show you gratitude for everything you provide, from our physical needs to your endless mercies.

Forgive me, today, for not trusting in you enough and for leaning on my own ways to try to reach peace and joy. When will I learn that your way is perfect and your love is sufficient? Forgive me, please, and help me to continue to seek you and listen for your voice.

I pray today for the crushed and broken hearted who may have a sadness while watching others seemingly blossom in relationships. Help them to see that you have a plan for them far greater than what they observe. Wrap your arms around them and help them to feel your peace and fill them with your spirit to have joy in the face of the loneliness. I also pray for those in relationships, that they see love as something that is ongoing and never ending and not for just a day. Help them to show each other the same kind of love and appreciation every day of the year and help them to be grateful for the person you have placed in their life as a helper.

I love you father and I can’t wait to see what you have planned for me!
