Dear Father,

Thank you for everything in my life. Thank you for this day. Thank you for the sunshine today, as that always lifts me up. Thank you for my church family and community. Thank you for providing everything I need, from the clothes on my back, food in my stomach, and roof over my head. Thank you for the people in my life who encourage, hug, pray, and love on me in this season that I need it so much. Thank you for waking me each day. Thank you for the comforts that I so often take for granted. Thank you for opening my heart and mind to the Word. Thank you for guiding me to you. Thank you for your mercy and for never leaving me. And thank you for shedding your blood to wash away my sin.

Father, when I consider the suffering you endured for me, and when I envision you on that cross, beaten and bloody and the unimaginable pain, I weep and I cannot fathom how you could love someone like me that much.

I fall short every day and yet, you still want me and you still love me and are patient.

Please forgive me for every sin and failure and please help me to try and try again. Let me never forget that debt you paid for me.

Father, you are the greatest and I love you!

As we lay down tonight, please keep us safe and give us rest so we can start the new day ready to be disciples for you.
