Psalms 19:14

“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”

Dear Father God,

You are sovereign and mighty, yet your hands created the world with such care. All we need to do is look on the smallest blade of grass to the tallest trees, the tiniest microscopic creature to the giants in the seas to evidence your power but also your love. And then with the greatest of your love, you created us, in your image. You breathed your own breath into us.

Father, we walk in this world so often not giving you your due love because we look at ourselves and see the ugly, the flaws, the damages and we forget to look for your image in the mirror instead of our own. We look through our own eyes which are damaged by what we see in the world, instead of through your eyes which only sees what you made out of love.

Then, we speak words upon ourselves and upon our lives that are not truth and that are not your words. We say we aren’t worthy. We say we are not enough. We say we are too much. We say we aren’t good enough. Lord, we should be speaking words of truth, your truth upon our lives. We should be filling our hearts with what YOU say about us. We should be speaking to ourselves the words that tell of just how much you love us, that you would come to earth in your son, Jesus, and take on the weight of not just one person’s sins, but ALL of our sins.

Father, may we start speaking the words of LIFE instead of death and meditate on your word joyfully. And may what we speak and hold in our hearts be pleasing to you and reflect your love back to you in gratitude.

I love you, Father ♥️

Amen 🙏
