Dear Father,

Thank you for everything you are to us and everything you do for us, from your forgiveness and mercy to your provision of what we need. I am grateful for how you have provided for me in a greater abundance than what I deserve.

Father. I asked you for something recently and I see now that you answered not long after. Yet, I failed to recognize and accept it. I see it now and I know. Please forgive me for being so blinded by what I want that I couldn’t see your work. Please forgive me for following my heart when I know it is deceitful. I was following my heart and I failed to see your help and protection. Sometimes I forget that you may offer us the way, but we have to choose. We have to be watching and listening for your voice and your vision.

I am in a season in which I am learning and one of the things that I am learning is that I don’t need to worry about the things that are hurting my heart. I am learning that when I stop seeking on my own and allow you to show me, that you will open up my eyes to what you want for me and your plans, your ways, your provision is perfect. I know this. Yet, I continue to fall and I know that I will stumble and fail again and again, but in each time there is a lesson if I pay attention and I come to you.

I have been far from you, I know. But I also know you are still there, being patient and loving me despite my ability to break your heart.

I am grateful for everything, even the hard things that at times make me feel as though my heart will crumble in my chest. I am grateful for the hard things that sometimes make me forget for a moment that you hold me in your hand and in your protection.

My heart and my mind are still healing and still hurting at times and I long for things that I need to trust that you will provide in your way and in your time when I am ready to be responsible and receptive to your gift.

So, Father, all I ask now is that you will give me the ability to recognize your provisions over what the enemy may put in front of me that is a diversion. Help me to recognize what is from you when it comes.

Thank you for never leaving me and for being the only truly consistent in my life. When I have nothing, I still have everything because I have you.

Your will be done, your way, your timing. Thank you for everything I have had the privilege of witnessing in your creation today.

In the name of our perfect savior, Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen! 🙏
