“I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me; hear me when I call to you. May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies. Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness; let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers. Their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs, and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken. They will say, “As one plows and breaks up the earth, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave.” But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord; in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death. Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers, from the snares they have laid for me. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.”
Psalms 141:1-10 NIV
Dear Father,
Thank you for another day and for waking me up. Thank you for your daily reminders of how blessed I am just for knowing you and being able to come to you.
Today, I am feeling a bit unsettled. Please help me to breathe and let go of whatever is causing me those feelings. Help me to understand the source and to give it over to you.
I pray to the Holy Spirit, welcoming you into my heart and my mind to guide my every step and my every thought. Be my helper today and every day. Provide to me the wisdom I need to understand the things that I do not fully understand and let me hear God’s voice today. Open my heart and my ears to hear and the ability to know it is from God.
Please protect me from anything that is not from my Father and give me the discernment to know the difference.
Lead me to the people and places where I can be a blessing. Help me to recognize where and how I can bless others and give me the heart of courage to do so.
I love you and praise you in deep gratitude for everything! In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen. 🙏 ♥️
