Heavenly Father,

You are mighty, sovereign, all-knowing, gracious, merciful, and loving. Thank you for all of these things and for your proof in all of it in sending your one and only son as a sacrifice for our sins.

I need you today, and forever. I don’t know how I can take one step without you.

My mental state today is one of overwhelm. I don’t even know what to pray, except send me reminders that it’s ok…I am ok, that you have your hand on me. Help me to focus on just what I need to do today. Help me to focus on just what is in front of me. Help to calm my mind and heart and rest. Give me the peace that comes through you alone.

Show me, Father, how it gets better. Show me what I need to do. I say that and just now, I remember that I keep seeing “Be still, and know that I am God” , so help me to slow down my mind and to be still and see that as your promise to me that redemption and restoration is at hand and that I don’t need to be restless or to worry.

Thank you, I love you, and I need you. Please keep working on me and in my life. Reveal my steps and light my path.
